Unable to leave the camera completely alone I shot these behind the scenes images of the latest Absolutely Notting Hill shoot. A magazine I've been doing some picture editing for recently. My favourite is the shot of the clothes all pinned and clamped at the back! Nothing's ever as it seems in magazines!

One of my clients The Royal Parks asked me to photograph the return to Greenwich Park of Henry Moore’s 1976 sculpture ‘Large Standing Figure: Knife Edge'. The sculpture has returned to the plinth it stood on from 1979 until 2007, is on loan for two years and will be in place for the 2012 Olympics. Excitingly for me, and something the client forgot to mention before the shoot, the opening was attended by Olympic legend and current world record triple jumper Jonathan Edwards. Sadly I didn't get a chance to chat to him as he was too busy, but it is interesting to see the diverse places the images crop up! These examples are from http://www.bbc.co.uk/news and http://www.artlyst.com

The original Portabello Rough Trade Records which opened opened in Kensington Park Road in 1976 The year that punk broke and is one of the worlds most famous record stores. Although the store moved to it’s current Talbot Road location in 1982 it remains a mecca for vinyl enthusiasts. These images were commissioned by Absolutely Notting Hill Magazine to show the character and atmosphere of the shop giving the images a retro feel in line with the aesthetic of the shop.

August saw me participate in my first Olympic distance triathlon. 1500m swim 40k cycle and 10k run. Not the fastest time, but not an embarrassment at 2h49m. Later I had the opportunity of watching and photographing the professionals on the same course. GB Olympic hopeful Alistair Brownlee smashed the course with an amazing 1.50.09. His brother photographed above with Javier Gomez came third in 1.51.04 securing them both a place in next years Olympic team. Tim Don also photographed and former world champion failed to qualify finishing 51st in 1h54m.
